For Hair Loss Cures, "What If" Always Beats "Only and Never"

Author: Sidney Smith

What do hair loss and Benign Prostate Hyperplasia have in common? That's easy. Recent tests are proving that the same things that help fight male prostate problems help men re-grow lost hair!

So, what do you think of that? Can these drugs (Finasteride or Minoxidil) and natural herbs (Saw Palmetto) really help your prostate AND your balding head? Can they stop hair loss from getting worse?

You will hear, I doubt it! or That's impossible! and Fairy Tale!

But that isn't what you should think.

It isn't likely that the American Medical Association or the FDA will offer many studies in the near future to study the effectiveness of natural botanicals in the treatment of BPH or Male Pattern Hair Loss, termed Androgenetic Alopecia. There are bottom-line, practical reasons for the MD community and network to ignore the natural treatments.

If Natural Botanicals are ever proven to be a valid treatment in the prevention of Hair Loss, they will be in direct competition with the fairly new drugs patented. Those drugs which companies have groomed and presented for popular consumption have been given the star treatment. They had to wait a few years before they could be crowned with FDA approval. To date, only Finasteride (brand name, Propecia) has been FDA approved.

You can bet that the reason that Minoxidil has been held back a few years before its FDA approval has more to do with lobbyists in Washington than with its danger or effectiveness in the treatment of anything.

So what are you going to do if your MD or primary care physician will not offer any other treatments for your hair loss? What if he tells you that Homeopathic medicines and herbal cures are a load of folk hooey and will never treat your problem?

What do you do with professionals who offer total absolutes? Ultimate statements like, Male and Female Hair Pattern Loss is cause by one thing only: Genetics. And treatments which do not treat your hair loss from a genetic causality will never work.

You may take into account one's training, which may be impeccable, and his previous record in treating you, which may be excellent. And you should also do something else:

Do yourself a favor and flash-forward two hundred years. Imagine what the physicians of Tomorrow would have to say to any doctor who says the words Only and Never. In the best, most advanced medicine, there is no Only solution, and there is no Never.

Thirty years ago, if the doctor who told you Only and Never had been asked about hair loss treatments, what do you think he would have said then? He would have laughed and told you there was NOTHING you could do about it. And he would not be correct, because discoveries change by the hour. Even as we speak, great explorations are happening now to find new treatments for hair loss.

Quite a few of them are natural and herbal, and they will be tested in clinical trial studies. What is interesting? The cost for a monthly dosage is incredibly economical, when compared to the prescribed treatments. Some people are getting great results for way under $150 per month.
