Best Class Reunion Ideas For 2006

Author: Robert Hirscheimer

If you are planning your high school reunion you will want to look your best at the reunion because there will be many eyes on you all week-end long. This article includes some great ideas for getting in shape, and looking good as well as fun things to do to help classmates break the ice and enjoy the class reunion.

Tips to get in shape and look your best:

- Develop an exercise program and diet that you will be diligent with 90 days before your high school reunion. 3 months is close enough to the class reunion that you can be motivated and see the end goal in sight. Remind yourself why you are doing this every time you get the urge to slack off or order a late night pizza.

- Visualize your reason for getting in shape to make the process more real. Picture yourself meeting your old classmates at the school reunion, and how good it will feel if you are in shape.

- Choose clothes that are youthful but age-appropriate. Wear your most flattering colors and styles. Don't forget the proper accessories. Worn shoes, and shirt collars can ruin a whole ensemble. Buy your outfit at least a couple of weeks before the class reunion so you can wear the clothes at least once and break them in.

- Wait until a few days before the event to color your hair, get a manicure or get a pedicure. Because of inevitable post-facial breakouts, have a facial approximately two weeks prior to the reunion.

- Drink lots of water and get lots of sleep 2 days before the class reunion to look rested and refreshed.

- Have fun at the class reunion, but don't go overboard. You do not want to be remembered forever as the person who has not outgrown their high school ways. If you do drink more alcohol than usual, be sure to drink a lot of water as well.

Great icebreakers and games that classmates will enjoy:

- Rent a karaoke machine. Encourage your guests to get up and sing along to the hottest hits from your graduation year.

- Create a questionnaire and award prizes for guests with the most children, longest marriage, most marriages, greatest number of degrees, etc.

- Ask your classmates to fill out a graduation-year trivia game when they arrive. Pose 20 questions related to the year that you graduated. Elect someone to score the tests, then award prizes to those with the most knowledge of the era.

- Place all of the nametags in a fish bowl at the door. Ask each attendee to reach in and grab a tag, then find the person whose tag they are holding.

- Hold a dance contest featuring music from the year of graduation. Be sure to have a digital video camera on hand for this. You will want to upload a clip on your reunion website after the reunion.

To really create interest in the class reunion and get the highest attendance ever create a website that will create a buzz and make it easy to communicate all the important details to your classmates. You will also be able to collect money and gather everyone's information with an easy to build class reunion website that anyone can build with no skills whatsoever.
