When you decide, 'I am going to work online and I am going to be rich!', your not likey to become an instant success. The world of internet marketing is not easy to get into. For this reason we see a negative connotation towards that phrase. Most people who start working online look for a 'quick buck' or some kind of, 'get rich quick' program that does not exist. These programs work, but you need to know how they work.
Selling, 'instant money 'online is a billion dollar industry and it is what causes many people who want to work online to quite after a few months. This and they also do not want to work hard. To make money, you do not need to work hard, but you must work diligently, carefully planning everything.
The following are 10 basic tips for being successful online. (This is very general and is only a guide, more information can be researched)
1. Create a 'brand'. As soon as you start working online, make sure you have some kind of a name that you are going to call yourself. This is going to be your identity and it is the way you are going to be noticed online. Have pictures of yourself and other kinds of personalized memorabilia ready to show the public because it will make them trust you more. If you have a logo, make sure it is copywrited.
2. Get access to the internet. This may seem obvious but it is important. Make sure that the internet access you have is fast so you are able to scan through many WebPages quickly. Be able to use the computer for hours at a time. Like a regular job or business, you have to work the long hours to reach goals of success faster.
3. Create a business plan of action. Use this guide to show you exactly what you want to do. If you know nothing, the first thing on the plan will be for you to study and stuffy hard. There is a lot to learn and you need to know it all. After you have figured out what you needed to know, like marketing, product creation, affiliate marketing, etc' take that knowledge and see what topic you want to focus on. Write a plan of action including budget and goals; short, long, and in-between.
4. Create a website. Use this as your main site on the web. Use it to market your products, answer questions, and to communicate with customers. Make it as profitable as you can. Utilize search engine optimization and increase your sites value with content. Even if you make no money from products, this site will create income on its own through advertising.
5. Create some kind of system of creating income. If you want to sell products that are tangible or intangible, you can do what you wish. Learn how to sell, and sell all the products you can. Stick to the one topic and do not get to general. When it is time for your site to expand, then you can generalize further and further.
6. Keep all your endeavors organized. Never lose site of what your goal is and make sure you read it over and over again and create a plan to get there. Do not lose sight of it and change things to reach them faster. Organize all the different things you are doing online and prioritize them.
7. Track and test your results. Use tracking software and other kinds of statistic creating sites that can help you see what you have been doing and how to improve. Try and get feedback from colleagues and try to get feedback from your visitors. Use this to increase sales and increase traffic.
I started with 10, but I combined many of them to make it simpler. I hope this puts you on the right track to success. I want you to go out and write that plan. Take it to a copy machine and make 50 copies and place them everywhere you go. Never lose site of your goals. The clearer you goal, the stronger the path to success.
Try not to advertise your site and keep to the idea of talking about your niche. Leave your link and advertising in your signature, passively creating traffic for you. As the days go by, you will see the traffic coming to your site and you will notice that it is coming in more and more and the days go by and you keep posting. I want to leave you with the most important part of this strategy which is that you have to post every day, at least 5 times a day to make a real impression and to gain those posts fast. These will add up and in a month you will have 150 links to your site. |
