Packing Your Cosmetics and Personal Items to Fly

Author: Susan Pittser

With the new restrictions and guidelines on the items you are allowed to carry on board flights, here is something you can do to keep your personal care items and cosmetics mess free in your checked in bags,

I always take a Tupperware modular mate oval or square shaped container with the airtight seal and pack those items in the hard plastic containers, This has helped many times to keep those products from accidentally spilling out onto your clothing and other luggage items, the modular style containers work really well with the squared off shapes in the bags and work well to accommodate the different sizes bottles of shampoos, lotions, colognes etc.

I started doing this several years ago when one time I ended up at my destination with toothpaste and shampoo on several items in a bag, what a terrible mess that was to clean up and you don't want to arrive on vacation and find out your clothing has been messed up on the way!

When using the sealed off hard plastic containers, even if something does accidentally spill of of its bottle or tube, it will be contained to the inside of your container. Just always double check your seal before packing it away to ensure the seal is on tight.

By using the hard plastic containers nothing can get crushed during transferring the luggage to the planes and back and forth and traveled through the airport processes and transitions.

This even works great for any fragile items you may be taking along

(for instance in hawaii you can bring home a fresh flower lei in a tupperware container packed in with your clothing and it still look perfect and not crushed when you arrive home.)

Happy and Safe Traveling!
